Dan has recently joined the SETI@Home project at the University of California and the Climate Change Prediction experiment.
These projects use the power of idle computers all over the world to analyse data. The SETI project looks at radio telescope data in the search for signals from extraterrestrial intelligence and the climate change experiment uses computer models to predict climate change.
